Continuous Digester

 

The washed fiber is fed into the continuous digester to be pulped using steam and chemicals.  The continuous digester system or CD comprises four main parts:

- Approach Flow

- Plug Screw Feeder

- Digester Tubes and Cold Blow Discharger

- Blow Tank

The cooked pulp is sent to a blow tank where it is stored temporarily before going on to the next stage of the process.
